Shaggy parasol (Chlorophyllum rhacodes)

I made myself late for work when I spotted these parasols on the way to the tube station and stopped to admire them. 

This fungus is listed as edible in some guides, but is known to cause serious stomach upsets in some people. It can be distinguished from the definitely edible parasol mushroom (Marcrolepiota procera) by the larger scales on the cap, and lack of snakeskin pattern on the stem (though the older ones here are tinged with red-brown).
